Many of these young leaders do not have access to nonessential items like a yoga mat. For these students, a yoga mat offers a comfortable space to cultivate social-emotional practices that will support their continued academic growth, physical and emotional wellbeing. Having these proper tools will help create an environment that engenders active engagement and a willingness to try something out of their comfort zone. Social-Emotional Learning is not recognized as a core subject, but fostering and empowering empathy, advocacy, and leadership skills can empower students. I would love to provide a space and environment that helps these students achieve their personal greatness.
