"Understanding is the heartwood of well-spoken words." -Buddha A complete set of classroom dictionaries and thesauruses will help my students by allowing them to do more in-depth research of the vocabulary contained in the stories that we read in our class. Possessing a strong vocabulary will not only provide students with a deeper understanding of content in our ELA class but in other content areas as well. A solid vocabulary is a skill that students will carry with them beyond the classroom and for the rest of their lives to become well-spoken adults.
