Creative arts are important to not only our academic well being, but for our mental health! After such a solo year, the emphasis this year is on how to work collectively, creatively, and responsibly. We utilize cinematic, visual, musical, and tactile-arts to build strong engagement in reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills. With these activities, students get hands-on experiences: by using cameras, students learn how to direct, film, edit , and write their own narratives. With paint supplies, students draw, write, and interpret their thoughts and feelings, all while using visual art as an outlet for expression. As used in Nevada standards, L.7.6, and L.7.4.a, c., designed to make stronger artists, overall!
