Our school is a neighborhood school located in an urban area. As a teacher, I want to share the world outside of their small community and prepare them to become well rounded adults. Although many of them have been handed a tough deal in life, they are extremely bright students and eager to learn. The diversity within our classroom makes for a wide range of learners. The students are very curious and have many different styles of learning. Within a classroom each year you can find everything from students from all over the world, to highly gifted students, to students with learning difficulties, and everything in between. In my eyes these children deserve the best learning opportunities and the tools to strive for all of the possibilities out there.
