My students are extremely kinesthetic. The learn best when they have tools and manipulative to use during group and independent classwork. My students have been through a crazy year. They have experienced a whirl wind of change during their school year. They have been quarantined for close to 6 weeks, due to COVID-19. They have also missed another week of school due to winter weather storms. My students are located in a rural school district and do not have access to some materials and supplies that larger more urban school districts have access to. Hands-on activities that push my students to use higher order of thinking, allow them to explore and develop better learning strategies, and items that allow them to release extra energy is the goal of this project. By being able to attain items that will open up learning opportunities for my students would be a dream come true. My current students along with my future students would benefit greatly from kinesthetic friendly classroom items.
