It has been a year since the pandemic was declared and oh what a year it has been on us, but especially for our students. This school year looks different, feels different and my students are definitely feeling it. I see the apprehension in my students eyes. Students are masked, isolated from one-another, and exhausted from this "new way" of school but are still expected to "show" up and learn. With all of these stressors in their lives, I want to teach my students how important their emotions are. At the beginning of the school year we were hybrid, then full-remote, now back to hybrid and will be reopening full time in a couple of weeks. Whew! What a roller coaster of emotions. This curriculum, A Little Spot of Emotions is perfect for teaching students about Social Emotional Learning (SEL). SEL helps students develop stronger social/emotional skills, improves the academic performance of students, positive social behavior, and much more powerful outcomes!
