The LEGOS and KEVA planks allow students to build whatever they can dream up. The KEVA plank sets that I specifically chose comes with materials and instructions that allows students to build contraptions, as well as Jenga blocks, which ties into STEM. Living in a rural area, most students have very limited resources at home and do not get the chance to build or create their ideas; therefore, I strive to allow them the opportunity to do this at school. STEM and the arts are so important for students' learning and development. Playdough and paint sets are also included for the students that prefer art as an outlet for their ideas. They can create tangible items or even small structures with playdough, and express their ideas through painting.
