These new books will revive my tired classroom library. My students will be drawn in and transported to new worlds by the new and exciting additions to my bookshelves. Reluctant readers will have a variety of high-interest books to choose from. They will be used for independent reading and classroom activities. My students all have point goals to reach through independent book choices each quarter. The new books will provide engaging choices for them. In addition, the books will be used for classroom assignments. For example, I teach the Beers and Probst Notice and Note Signposts in my Reading classes and these new high-interest books will be a great resource for them to use while learning and mastering the use of the signposts.
