My students are very engaged learners with a limited amount of supplies. We have been in a complete remote environment all year long. This has provided many challenges for them when it comes to reading. While we do have some online resources, it is not the same as having a paper book in front of them. Between poor internet connection and too much screen time, reading has been a challenge. Working in a low-income district, many of my students are unable to afford books themselves. With these new books, my students will be able to have a variety of books that will allow them to read. I also have a wide range of ability, these books will allow them to pick a book at their own personal reading level.
