I teach in a Kindergarten Verbal Behavior Autistic Support classroom. The goal is to get my students to improve their communication and language skills. One of the beginning steps of this program is getting the students to request what they want. In order for this to be successful, students have to be motivated by something in order to ask for it. Then, we present these items to them and have them ask for it, either verbally, through sign, or through picture exchange. By donating the items to our classroom, you will take part in helping my students enhance their communication skills. Just by being in school for the last three weeks, I have started to see a difference already, but with your help, imagine what we can do! I have already expressed how happy my students are to actually be back in school. I can't even imagine how happy they will be if everything they are interested in is in their classroom. They will never want to leave. Please consider donating to our classroom so that my students can expand their language and communication skills and grow to love school even more!
