We have a high prevalence of students with ADHD, and while we allow them to take breaks, do exercises, and have fidgets we are not able to truly service their needs. That's why we want to purchase options such as wobble seats and fidget bands. These are safe options for students to get the movement in without even needing to leave the classroom! Our students deserve every opportunity to learn that their disabilities do NOT hold them back! Research has shown that movement allows students to better focus and perform academically, especially with students with ADHD and other sensory processing disorders. These options provide our students with STRATEGIES that they can use in the classroom so that their need to move no longer hinders their amazing performance.
