Dramatic play is a huge portion of early child development. Students are able to gain real-world experiences inside of the walls of the classroom. I hope to change out my dramatic play centers every two to three weeks to provide my students with ample experience. With these tools and props, my students can dive into a world of imagination and take on various roles. The world around my students will come to life through the use of our dramatic play center. Different themed dramatic play centers (grocery store, vet office, construction site, campsite, garden/flower shop) will be rotated throughout the year to match the theme we are covering in class. These rotations will keep students engaged and eager to learn through the new experiences. My goal is that my students will be engaged in real-world, hands on learning to help develop social skills and literacy skills. I cannot wait to see how my students grow from their new and improved Dramatic play center.
