I love reading novels to my students during our AR time. I try to read a wide variety of books to my students. I like to pick great books that they might now normally chose on their own. Typically, I do not have enough for each of my kids to have a book to follow along. With this project, I could provide a book to each of my students. I believe this will not only help keep them interested in the book but will also help with reading skills such as word recognition and comprehension. I chose “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis because my 4th grade teacher read it to us. I have loved the book ever since. I pray that I can give my students that same gift.
