It is my goal to introduce my students to a love of reading through diverse literature. My students deserve to see themselves and others depicted in a positive light in literature. Diverse literature is more than surface deep; diversity comes in many shapes and sizes. Whether it is diverse media, diverse authorship, diverse characters, or diverse ideas, I strive to instill a love of reading into my students by giving them books they really want to read. Please consider helping me (a first year teacher from a rural area) build my classroom library!
