Many of my students are from rural background and are working towards college. Many students need more experience in lab sciences to achieve the goals before them. I am also working with the local university to implement possible dual credit classes. These materials will help me add more lab experiences into the Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, and Anatomy and Physiology classes that I teach. Adding more hands on experiences will help make a lot of the material easier to grasp and understand. We will be doing multiple dissections in Biology to look at comparisons in systems and structure. In Anatomy and Physiology, the curriculum has them practicing a lot of skills done by health care providers including suturing.
