Lincoln County is a rural schooling area with a deficiency in Mathematics. I am hoping to help these students further their education by providing them with resources to be successful. My wish is to teach these children not only traditional Math, but I would like to offer some insight into life skills. Too often, as a Math Teacher, we hear "Why do we need to learn that? Why can't you teach us about credit scores, or mortgages, stuff we will need as adults?” The truth is I always try to incorporate these important skills into my curriculum, but sometimes the lack of time and or equipment can make this more difficult. Utilizing these iPads from both school and home will help with the students' education. I believe they have been given a great tool, the iPad, but do not have the necessary equipment to utilize it in the best way. Thank you.
