Through art and creativity these materials will ease my Kindergarteners anxiety about entering school for the first time after 8 months of distance learning. These materials will promote fine motor skills, mathematical concepts and Language exploration. The pattern blocks will replace the pattern blocks I handed out to the students at the beginning of the year when we started distance learning. They will foster creativity and mathematical exploration of pattern and shape in the classroom. The ink pads, combined with alphabet and word stamps already in the classroom will allow students to create their own words and sentences. The tissue paper and laces will allow us to create collage projects and string beads to help fine motor development.
