I am asking for a variety of books for my classroom library. There are so many benefits for having books such as expanding their vocabulary. They are interactive and demand that kids think. They can take kids places they have never gone before and tap into their imaginations. They also develop critical thinking and writing skills. They also improve children’s concentration and can even help with depression, feelings of anxiety, and more. There is not enough room to list all the reasons why books are vital. I believe there should never be a classroom without books that students want to read. I remember being in school and being assigned a book I had no interest in. Besides not enjoying it, I did not learn anything. This is not what I want for my kids. I am gradually adding books to my classroom so that kids are excited and want to read. I am so thankful for this opportunity for a chance to make my classroom book friendly for everyone.
