I teach Library and STEAM to grades K-6. I only see each class for 30 minutes every 6 school days, which makes STEAM projects difficult to sustain, especially in the younger grades. I want to have days where the students can build whatever they want using different materials, including Magna-Tiles. Sometimes I will give them direction for what to build, and sometimes we we just free build. Magna-Tiles are also something easy and fun to set out for when we do STEAM stations, or for when the students are done checking out their books on Library days. My adapted Library/STEAM students in particular love free time to work with their hands and create using blocks and other materials. The Magna-Tiles would be a wonderful addition to our class.
