The students will learn a life-long skill. They will care for their seeds by watering, talking about temperature, and observing sunlight. The children will foster their independence by doing all the work themselves. They will learn delayed gratification as we wait for the seeds to sprout, grow, and eventually bloom. They will also learn how to handle disappointment when a seed doesn't sprout or a plant doesn't look the way they expect. We will talk about celebrating others' success. Their own success will build self-confidence, as well. The biggest benefit will be time spent out doors.
