My classroom library is not just a place where students go to explore books, but it is a safe space for them to self-regulate their emotions and calm down when they are having a hard day. Due to COVID, my classroom has been packed into a trailer and most of my books and materials will likely not be useable for the next school year. I am looking to make my classroom a safe place for my students again, as this year was traumatic and next year will be all about recovery and rebuilding social-emotional supports for our young learners. This will be a good start the rebuilding our classroom library and safe space!
