My passion as an 8th grade Social Studies teacher is to find the right book for each of my students. I believe that reading fiction and non-fiction brings the world to my students, many of whom have never left the state. I am eager to update my classroom library with titles from diverse authors that are of interest to my group of 125 students. With your donation gift for these books, I will be able to encourage reluctant readers with a wide multi-genre selection of current book titles. Reading develops good citizenship through a breadth of knowledge, empathy, and personal connection. The pens, pencils, highlighters and supplies and toner will help my students with their reports and notetaking.
