This Collaborative Floor Work Space will give my students a chance to engage with their peers in a comfortable setting that is somewhere different in the room than the table they're assigned to. It is important for students to switch up their scenery and not be in the same place in the classroom for too long. This Collaborative Floor Work Space will give them the perfect opportunity to plug-in, recharge, and truly be present and engaged in my classroom by experiencing community with their classmates. I would love to give my students more opportunities of engagement with one another since their first two years of school lacked that with the COVID-19 Pandemic. It is so imperative that students get the social interaction with their peers and teachers that in-person learning brings. This Collaborative Floor Work Space will give them a designated space in my classroom where they can have those interactions that they so desperately need.
