In our age of technology where students spend hours on "screen time" the value of high quality, rich literature can fall by the wayside in students lives. This project seeks to 'hook' students on reading via high quality, interesting literature exposing them to historical times, different peoples, and other places they maynot have imagined ever existed, or saw themselves exploring. Children will learn to love reading and books to enhance the quality of their days and lives. They will explore a variety of genres and voices, different perspectives and attitudes, they will learn about places of which they perhaps have only dreamt.

About my class
