Having hands-on learning is so important. Students cannot learn from sitting in a chair. They need to be using all five senses as they explore and learn. That is why I am asking for STEAM (Science Technology Art Engineering Math), activities for our kids. The STEAM activities being requested for this project will encourage students to use a variety of skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision making, leadership and so much more. The GeoMagnetic Building Set will further develop our students’ curiosity through the science of magnets and construction. The Q-Bitz Mindware game is never boring. It is filled with challenges that develops spatial reasoning, visual dexterity, quick thinking, and memory. The Mental Blox Critical Thinking Game that has ten different puzzles that require the skill sets of math, problem solving and imaginative play. This will be learning at its best – kids having fun while learning. In addition, they will be engaged in social skills such as collaborating, communicating, and sometimes working in teams. The kids can leave the outdated and overused textbooks on the shelves and dig into the world of hands-on learning with STEAM activities.
