Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, students often have trouble staying focused and motivated to learn in school. Students face many issues like anxiety, emotional control, and impulsivity which can impede their ability to stay focused. Now with the pandemic, students have been isolated at home which also factors into staying motivated to learn at school. Desk pets will add excitement and motivation to my young learners. I hope with your help to purchase my students animal erasers, which will be their desk pets. Students will earn these by following school and classroom expectations. These expectations are things like care for others, offer your best effort, live respectfully, take responsibility, and stay safe. These expectations help students learn in a safe environment. Each day students will earn money to spend at our classroom store. Not only will students gain motivation but this will also teach them financial literacy and responsibility for money. These pets will give the students something positive to look forward to and will in turn help motivate them to stay focused to learn. Please consider helping with this project to motivate my learners.
