Flexible seating allows students to commit to being their best learning selves and and staying alert and focused. Many of the options I have selected, like wobble cushions and wobble stools would allow my students to move in small bouts to increase oxygen flow to their brains. Our school has face-to-face instruction in the family model right now. This means we stay together as a class all day, eating lunch in the classroom and working at desks with plexiglass shields surrounding them. Even without the pandemic, this variety of seating will benefit the many students that enter my classroom in years to come based on proven research and the motivation that will ensue!
