Our middle school students love flexible seating options. If they feel comfortable, the are more productive. The goal of our SpEd classroom is to provide a space for students to feel confident in their abilities. By providing our students with alternative spaces to work, and with items to fidget with, they can focus more on their projects and assignment. If we can provide our students with positive outlets to remove distractions, their productivity will skyrocket! Our students are also incredibly interested in diverse and inclusive storytelling. They love stories written by people who positively reflect their cultures and communities. We have a great start to our library, but we want to provide our students with more! The books on our wish list tell stories that our students can connect with. We want these books to serve as an inspiration to our students.
