My students live in a low income area and most students shared that they have no books in their homes. Since the start of the school year, I have continued to notice my students have not been exposed to a wide variety of literature. I would like my students to experience books they can relate to. I would love to include more books into my classroom library they can relate to and have interest in. I long to put real books in their hands so that they can learn and develop a love for reading! Studies have shown a direct link between a child's study to read and succeed in life and the number of books they are exposed to in school and at home. Not only will you be growing my classroom library but their love for reading and their minds!
