My kindergarten library is a place where my ELL students really enjoy going. They can choose books to read in class or borrow them to read with the parents at home. It is a fun way to improve their ability to read and expand their vocabulary in English. This leveled library will give them the opportunity to read by themselves, respecting their development without the risk of getting discouraged by a book that may be too hard to read. Choosing the right book will allow them to comprehend the story and gradually master the language while feeling accomplished and self-assured about their skills. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow in reading. They already have shown interest in independent reading, and this library will help enrich their experiences with the books.
