Leveled Books stimulate young readers to read more because they promote a successful learning experience. Providing children access to texts that are a match to their reading levels will allow them make rapid growth in their literacy skills. When they are able to read successfully, they will read more and they will become better readers. As emergent readers, children are beginning to control early reading strategies such as one-to-one word matching and concepts about print, while continuing to use visual supports and their knowledge of language structure to help them. Help us reach our goal. Help us spread the love of reading!
