After my first year of teaching, I realized there were some things that would greatly benefit my students. Because many of my students are learning English as a second language, I selected classroom materials that will support their learning. After completing some grad school courses on best teaching practices, I learned about how important play-based learning and opportunities for creativity are--I would love to provide my students with materials, such as Legos or Magnatiles, to fulfill this aspect of their learning. I have some furniture on my list to best support the flow of the classroom. Lastly, I have requested some books because I love to read with my students!
