Our students have been learning the meaning of compassion and empathy as a part of our Social-Emotional learning curriculum. Along with this, our students have began understanding the importance of giving back to their community. Throughout the learning process, our students have began to reflect on the ways their community has helped them, and they would like the chance to contribute. With these materials, our students will be able to create care packages for the homeless community in the Cincinnati area. Thus far, the students have researched resources in their community as well as materials and resources that will most benefit the homeless community in our area. This project will help them develop a deeper understanding of empathy and compassion for those around them.

About my class
