All of my students love to use technology and want learning to be fun. They are familiar with technology, so I want to give them a tool they can be successful with. Since I am a special education teacher, I focus on skills that my students have not mastered and/or struggling with. My students need the one-on-one learning as much as possible. In order to give that, I want to do small group acitivities that focus on the skills that they are struggling with. We have computers, but my students forget their computers or their chargers at home, so I am not able to do technology in the classroom. Having iPads in my class would provide a way for them to get on acitivties that focus on their skills. Unlike a computer, iPads have apps that make accessing material so much easier. The easier they can find an activity, the more successful my students will be. I would eventually like to have a class set of iPads so that each student would be able to use one during small groups. Having the iPads in my class would help my students become more successful.
