I am looking to use pedometers as a fitness tool for my students. COVID-19 has affected all of the students in my area and physical fitness is more important now than ever. Since students are required to wear masks during school it has limited some activities I can do. I would like to use the pedometers as a teaching tool to teach students about fitness and to provide a new outlet for students to learn about fitness. Adding the pedometers to my lessons will allow students to be more engaged during school. They can use the pedometers as a way to have fun and compete with others. Also, I can use this as a tool during class to see how much activity students are getting during a lesson. These pedometers would also be super easy to clean and disinfect in between classes.
