Everything on my wish list serves the same purpose: ignite student's love for learning. As an ELA teacher, I believe that all students love reading, some just may not have found the book that makes them feel that. With a diverse selection of books, my hope is that my students will be able to connect with at least one book. After all, we all have that one read that sparked our love. Other materials such as markers, fidgets, and flexible seatings are to help keep kids in the classroom, harnessing their inevitable middle school energy and applying it to learning opportunities.
