This book study will allow for each student to have their own book. They will be able to grow as readers and humans in the classroom, or from home. Each student having their own book for this study will ease any transitions from virtual learning to in person and vice versa. In a world where creating complete equality is so vital, even the smallest exposures can make a difference. We are a small, rural town in Southeast Ohio. My students very rarely have the opportunity to travel outside our state, let alone the country. These books will supply a grade level book study to allow their minds to travel to Southern Sudan. It will put them in the shoes of a lost boy and enrich their lives with different cultures.
