The switch to virtual learning has been hard on my students. They're safe, but they're struggling. Many of them don't understand how to navigate through our online assignments, while even more struggle to comprehend the material without direct guidance. Due to limitations, I'm only able to meet with my virtual students during a one-hour live session each day. In that time, we go over assignments and any questions they might have. However, this can get quite difficult when working with only one laptop. Sharing my screen in order to review their work with them removes my ability to monitor the chat, so I often miss questions or raised hands in the process. An extra computer and monitor would make a world of difference when it comes to this. I'd be able to support my students better, as well as reach out to ones that might have been overlooked by mistake.
