As my county enters the realm of hybrid or "concurrent" instruction, it is imperative that my classroom has the technology necessary to provide instruction for both my face-to-face and virtual students at the same time. This type of instruction requires a heavy processing load that even my personal laptop struggles to carry, making the use of fun, engaging, and collaborative language tools difficult for students and myself.
Over the past year I have been using my personal laptop due to the lack of effective pre-existing technology in my classroom.
As some students return to the face-to-face classroom, it is unfortunate that I am not able to use or write on my interactive whiteboard. The timeline of repair is unknown. Without a working interactive whiteboard in the classroom, it is more difficult for students to connect with Spanish texts and analyze varying language structures. Therefore, this laptop's touchscreen will allow me to utilize a virtual whiteboard and provide a more focused, live instruction to help students with their written language skills in the Spanish classroom.
With the increasing need to know a second language in our diverse world, please consider supporting Señorita Coberly's Spanish classroom!
