Students will use these materials for breakout lessons where they will be given a series of clues to help them escape from "danger" while using their math skills to solve the different problems. My students will be moving around the room, using critical thinking skills, and social interaction to better understand the skills need to solve the puzzles. There has been a lot of research to show that when students are moving while they are learning that they retain the subject more. I hope to utilize these materials to help my students retain their lessons and not just regurgitate their answers on a test and forget everything they've learned the next day.
