These are hard-working students who are working to overcome barriers outside of their control to be able to attend a college or university that best meets their academic, social, and financial needs. Despite receiving scholarships, grants, and loans, we find that many students struggle with the other costs of attending college -like getting the essentials to get started once the new school year begins! Our students will use these "College School Supplies starter packs" to kick off their classes on the right foot! From having a backpack filled with the necessary tools to fully participate in class, to making sure their hands stay cleaned and sanitized with a little hand sanitizer, these starter packs will have it all! Our students will be first day of class ready with these items! These other costs are, at times, what prevent a student from stepping foot on campus in the fall following graduation from high school. We hope you can help our students see their college plans through by supporting this project! Supporting this project would mean that students will have backpacks, pencils, pens, highlighters, staplers, and other school supplies! We even included hand sanitizer as a back-to-school essential (who knew?). Help give these kids the jump start they deserve when they start their college journey!
