My students come from low income families and the majority of them have four and five siblings. Even after they eat breakfast they are still hungry from the night before due to the lack of food or just not having enough. These materials will be used to nourish the students throughout the day between breakfast and lunch at school and offset foods that they may not get at home. Having the confidence that at school they can always get something to eat is a reassurance for them that goes way beyond food.
