These two items will provide my students with the necessary sensory break experience to assist them throughout their day. The weighted blankets provide deep pressure, calming the nervous system and giving students a sense of security and grounding. The sensory swing will be used in our motor room with assistance from our physical therapist. It has many benefits and applications for students. The motion created by a sensory swing can calm or alert the nervous system, improve strength, balance, body awareness, even eye contact and communication. Both of these items will be of great benefit to my program.
