I can find ways to make lessons meaningful and interesting, but giving the students real-life work does so much more. Using dissections, they more clearly understand how different body systems work together to create an organism. After doing dissections, I often have students who say that they are more interested in going into the medical field. "Fuzzy Mud" has been a great case study project that teaches students real-world science in context, rather than just through disjointed lessons. These books will help students who need extra time to read outside of class.
