The books will support student's learning. As it is important to use language in all its forms, especially written. Having books for students to read will help in taking the sounds of a foreign language and make them more concrete by giving them form and meaning. I inherited a small classroom library that I have been supplementing with my own personal books. I hope by this project I will get enough of a selection to have a book for each student at their level. Reading books is a fundamental skill no matter the language. Reading in Spanish class not only helps students learn Spanish but also helps to improve their reading level in their native language. With a selection of books and flexible seating, I hope to create a library where students are comfortable exploring the Spanish language through books.
