Each year the 5th grade students at Hager Elementary have the opportunity to learn and research about a famous person in history by participating in a "living" wax museum. During this project, students will complete detailed research on famous a historical person of their choice. Once students have completed that research, they will "become" their person by writing a speech, creating a costume and designing a detailed backdrop on a presentation board. Due to economic stress from this chaotic school year, we were hoping to be able to purchase presentation boards for all students. By providing boards for each student, this will insure that families will not need to worry about purchasing them on their own. As well as assuring that every child receives one and can participate. When the project is all said and done, students and parents will be able to walk through and learn about historical figures in this unique way! It is always a highlight of our year!
