The percussion kits include the basic percussion instruments like rhythm sticks and egg shakers to introduce kindergarten and first grade students to steady beat and rhythm. While virtual learning, we made home-made version of these instruments and students had a blast exploring materials, textures, and different timbres they could produce out of simple kitchen items. However, durability is an issue. The home-made instruments let us into the amazing world of music-making and now it is time to graduate our students to the next level; time for some authentic percussion instruments!

About my class
