These materials are going to be used to teach students using hands-on methods. I chose materials like clay for making models of our animals in their habitats, a model for our solar system unit, markers for our math manipulative games, fraction strips to help us with teaching fractions. We live in a low income area and most supplies come out of the teachers' pocket, especially if they are something that isn't considered directly important, such as paper, pencils, and the like. These items will be used to make learning more exciting for my students.
