I primarily teach English and language arts, which includes a lot of reading. As my students are special education students, they have a lower reading level than their peers. They often have material that I can provide them with an audio component, but if they are working at a different pace, they are not able to access the audio without disturbing others in the class. Being able to individually access the audio for the materials provided at their own pace will improve student learning. The students will also be able to read/listen to a variety of audiobooks for individual projects so that they can read material that is more interesting to them as an individual rather than having to read what everyone else is reading.
