My students cultivated and relied on digital worlds during the pandemic. From school to socializing, education to entertainment, their worlds were complete online. This year we are back on campus and trying to bridge our digital-dependance with in-person learning and socializing. I want to show my students that we can connect our worlds by literally transforming our digital interests to physical media, and vice versa. A 3D printer would do just that. We will work together to design, create, and print projects that boost our creativity, improve our digital skills, expand our knowledge, and help others. It will take my students' learning to the next level by helping them to apply the concepts they have learned about 3D design. Additionally, this 3D printer would help give my students access to technology education and 21st century skills that many other, more affluent schools already have. It will give my students a leg up in this current world and in the world of the future. The gains that the FlashForge 3D printer will bring to my students are limitless. Please help me give them this wonderful tool and the opportunities that come with it.
